TEENAGE bullies stole pedal bikes after punching two nine-year-old pals who were riding them on the outskirts of Leigh town centre.
As the youngsters cycled near The Dairy in Chadwick Street at 3.30pm on Monday, one was punched in the face and the other punched in the ribs by the youths who then snatched their BMX bikes and pedalled off along Leigh Road towards the Texaco garage.
One of the stolen bikes was silver with stunt pegs front and rear and the other was coloured blue. Although shaken and upset by the incident, the young victims were able to give detailed descriptions of their attackers who they said were aged 15 or 16.
One was about five ft 9" tall, had short blond hair and wore a black and white striped Lacoste polo shirt and dark grey Nike or Reebok track suit bottoms. The other was shorter and he wore a Manchester United shirt with number eight on the back. He wore a gold chain and dark blue jeans and had dark brown, short cropped hair. Both wore Nike Shox trainers.
Anyone with information should contact Leigh Police.
