A NIGHTCLUB is to raise money for the family of a teenager killed in a road accident.
Club Rac, in Market Street, Farnworth, has organised the fundraising event on August 26, with bar staff, DJs and door supervisors working for free.
The money will go to the family of 13-year-old Carla Bate, who died following the crash at the junction of Albert Road and Longcauseway.
Her friend, Leanne Keegan, also aged 13, is still recovering after suffering serious head and pelvic injuries in the accident.
Club owner Clare Topcu said: "The night is for anyone who wants to give their support.
"Farnworth is a small place so everyone has heard about what happened.
"When we heard about the crash, everyone at the club was devastated, absolutely gutted.
"Burying your own child is not something a mother expects to have to do."
Staff will be selling £1 football cards and a collection will be held on the night for donations.
Licensing bosses granted Club Rac a 4am licence during the summer, making it one of the latest opening nightspots in Bolton.
The extended opening hours allow bar workers a place to go and relax when their shifts finish.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and the tickets cost £4.
