A WEIGHTWATCHERS leader is to be featured in an hour-long documentary based on cult comedy Little Britain.
Elaine Simkin is to star in a show called the Real Little Britain, focusing on characters throughout the country.
The 55-year-old runs classes at the Walkden Cricket Club and the Atherton Arms Club, Atherton.
Mum-of-three Elaine said she loved her moments in front of the cameras - and fancies a career in television presenting.
She said: "At one stage the presenter asked me if there was any other job that I would consider doing, and I said, 'Yes - yours'."
The camera crews followed Elaine for the day, filming her classes in Walkden and Atherton.
They even followed her on a trip to a supermarket.
She was filmed picking healthy food and will be seen giving advice to viewers about what to add to their shopping lists. The programme will be screened in early October.
Elaine was also filmed at her Fenwick Close home, in Daisy Hill, preparing a healthy lunch for her husband.
She has been a member of WeightWatchers for more than 30 years and decided to become a leader five years ago when she retired after 26 years of managing the restaurant at the Coaching House.
She has been a diamond leader for two years - a status handed to leaders who retain high levels of their members. She was recommended to appear in the documentary by her area manager.
