Ossett Town v Radcliffe Boro: KEVIN Glendon wants Radcliffe Borough to prove they are good enough for the Conference North.
Borough kick off their Unibond Premier Division campaign at newly-promoted Ossett Town with the aim of bouncing back from last season's play-off disappointment.
Glendon's side missed out on promotion to the Conference North after losing to Burscough in the semi-finals in May. But the manager believes they can do better this time - especially after watching some of the sides who did get promoted.
He said: "This week I watched Ashton against Altrincham and Stalybridge against Lancaster, and it left me feeling really disappointed that we're not competing at that level.
"I saw no difference between those sides and us. We're every bit as good as them, if not better. But we have to prove it by getting promoted."
Mark Molyneux - signed last week as goalkeeping cover - will start if first-choice Danny Hurst fails to recover from a groin injury, as back-up Barry George is on holiday.
