ONE of football's most famous shirts and pair of boots are on display at the People's History Museum, Manchester.

They are the shirt and boots that Michael Owen wore when England beat Germany 5-1 in Munich in September, 2001.

Owen famously scored a hat-trick during the World Cup qualifier match - the first England player to do so against Germany since Geoff Hurst back in 1966.

The kit will be on display at the Museum at The Pump House, 1 Bridge Street, Manchester, until the autumn. It's part of the After Work section which features other key items from the Professional Footballers' Association, such as Stanley Matthews' boots.
