Bolton Golf Association - BOLTON Golf Association secured a hard-fought 4.5-3.5 win in the inaugural representative match against the South Lancs Association at Hindley on Tuesday evening.

Bolton winners included Dean Aslett (Deane) who beat Chris Clarke (Wigan) 3&2, and both Joe Pearson (Hindley) and James Callaghan (Dunscar) won 1 up against Paul Marrow (Gathurst) and Ian Abbott (Hindley).

Derek Jones, BGA Team Captain, said: "As this was a handicap match, it was a good opportunity to field a number of young players and some new to the BGA side. I am pleased with the win."
