TODAY we have been shopping in Bolton. Because it was raining, we parked in the Octagon car park.
Both my daughter and myself are disabled; my daughter is in a wheelchair and cannot walk at all.
We were really upset and annoyed that there was no parking for the disabled, and what made it worse was that my husband had to lug her wheelchair down one flight of stairs to get to the lift.
We were also taken aback when we looked on the board and it said that it was £1.10 for one hour, which we thought was disgusting.
We like Bolton, but we will never be parking on this car park again. It was not disabled friendly at all. We think that it is discrimination against the disabled. We feel so strongly about this matter.
