A PENSIONER was given oxygen by firefighters after the bedroom curtains of her bungalow caught fire on Monday morning.
The 78-year-old woman, of Mackenzie Street, Astley Bridge, declined hospital treatment.
The curtains had been resting on a spotlight which had overheated and set alight at 6.55am.
The bedroom of the semi-detached bungalow was slightly damaged by smoke.
