EURO 2004 hero Stelios has been told to get his feet back on the ground.
Wanderers' Greece international has been restricted to just substitute appearances since returning from the Athens triumph and has still to convince Sam Allardyce that he has come down from his summer high.
Big Sam had a dig at the little midfielder after giving him a 40-minute second half stint in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Fulham.
"We brought the 'Greek God' on," the manager said, "at least that's what he thinks he is at the moment.
"He'll have to get back down to earth like the rest of us and start grinding these Premiership games out."
Allardyce was more complimentary about the third of his Craven Cottage substitutes, veteran Spaniard Fernando Hierro, who was unable to affect the outcome of the game on his Premiership debut but impressed the manager with his 15-minute performance.
"He couldn't have done any worse than what was happening in front of him," Allardyce said of the 36-year-old former Real Madrid captain.
"In fact he passed the ball to Bolton Wanderers players, which is what we failed to do for most of the game and was the reason why we got ourselves into so much trouble."
