SEVEN-year-old Oscar Murphy is fast becoming a star of the small screen after taking up a bit part in teen soap Hollyoaks.
Cherry Tree Primary School pupil Oscar is a member at Farnworth's Orr Theatre Dance School, where he has been learning ballet, tap and jazz dancing since he was four.
Often likened to a young Peter Kay, Oscar first appeared on television in an advert for Megabowl when he was five years old.
That gave him a taste for stardom and he has now landed a small part in Channel 4 teen soap Hollyoaks.
Oscar appears in a storyline which involves Max Cunningham and OB taking little Tom to school. They realise Tom should be wearing a tie and Oscar walks past wearing full school uniform, including a tie. Viewers see OB dart after him, returning with a tie.
Oscar appears later when he is seen getting in trouble with a teacher for not wearing a tie, but walks away smiling at a £5 note in his pocket.
Filming took place at the Liverpool studios three weeks ago and the episode is due to be aired on Monday, September 20.
Oscar's dad Nick, of Brentwood Drive, Farnworth, said: "It's a great little plot line and Oscar enjoys taking part. Although he says he doesn't want to become an actor, he would rather be a footballer or a window cleaner because he likes heights!"
