THREE men have been charged with attempted murder after a 37-year-old man was seriously assaulted with an axe in Pendleton.
Nicky Brennan, aged 25, Tony William Lally, aged 27, and Timothy Spencer, aged 34, were due to appear at Salford Magistrates Court on Monday.
Officers were called to Auckland Drive at 11:20pm last Thursday after local residents reported seeing a man brandishing an axe.
The 37-year-old man sustained serious head injuries during the incident and was taken to Hope Hospital where he remains critical in the intensive care unit.
