ETHNIC businesses in Bolton are improving thanks to Bolton Council's Ethnic Minorities Business Service (EMBS).
A recent workshop hosted by EMBS looked at how local ethnic minority business owners and managers can improve their businesses.
The workshop concentrated on operations management and leadership skills, as delegates took part in a management simulation which demonstrated how businesses can achieve increased capacity, improved morale and greater profit margins.
Adam Jiva, owner of Trend Curtains, who attended the course said: "This residential workshop has made me look at my business in a different perspective. I have gained an excellent insight and appreciation of how my business could streamline its processes."
The residential workshop was part of a programme of workshops funded and supported by the European Regional Development Fund and North Manchester Business Link.
