THIS was more in keeping with the image of Bolton School. Lord Leverhulme was photographed in November, 1951, when he planted two trees at Bolton School.
The one on the boys' side of the main drive was in memory of his grandfather, the first Lord Leverhulme and the one on the girls' side was in memory of his father, the second Lord Leverhulme.
The ceremony was watched by school governors, the headmaster of the Boys' Division, Mr F. R. Poskitt, the headmistress of the Girls' Division, Miss D. Varley, and senior boys and girls.
