SAM Allardyce beefed up his midfield on Tuesday when he signed the Nigerian international, Blessing Kaku, five days after fearing the deal had collapsed.
Kaku, who comes recommended by Jay-Jay Okocha, has joined Wanderers for an undisclosed fee from the Israeli club, Ashdod, subject to international clearance. He has signed a three-year contract.
The deal stalled last week when Allardyce said there was an issue over the 26-year-old's medical. No details were given but it is now clear that it was not an insurmountable problem.
"He has an excellent passing game and likes to get on the offensive," Allardyce said of his ninth summer signing. "He also has the necessary defensive instincts to make it in the English game and is not afraid to get stuck in and win challenges."
