LAST week I visited the Southport Flower Show. I was interested to note that in the official programme one of the celebrity guests was our own Roy Lancaster, described as a native of Bolton, Lancashire.
Mention must also be given to another local celebrity appearing at the show, Wingates Brass Band. They gave a stirring performance despite the driving rain.
