SEVERAL teams have already wrapped up their section titles as the Bolton Ladies Rounders League nears its season climax.
Walkden CC A (B), Bradbury Ladies (D) and Bolton Motor Bodies (F) are all eight points clear and Tonge Moor Ladies (G) are six points ahead of the pack.
Rupert Ladies A stamped their authority on Section A when they beat one of their main title rivals, Little Lever XI, 107-79. Alison Saunders (21) and Anne Truffas (20) dominated the scoring for Rupert.
Farnworth and District Vets lost their chance to claim runners-up spot in Section B when they were defeated in a close game with Daisy Hill A, 116-113. Lucy Chadwick (17), Lyn Lisett (21) and Shiela Donnely (13) were Daisy Hill's top scorers.
Trafford took two points from Imago to steer clear of the relegation zone in B Section. Sue Hammond (34), Mandy Honor (27) and Jackie Hornby (23) helped the team to a 140(I)-133 win.
Apollo Ladies' lowly position in Section C did not prevent them from beating joint second Little Lever CC A 107-79.
Adlington CC and BRUFC met in a top of the table clash. BRUFC led at half time by 32 runs, Adlington then turned the tables, dismissed BRUFC for 45 and scored 84, winning the game by just two points. Sharon Prescott (27) and Sharon Ripley (18) topped the scores for Adlington.
Prices B's one-run win against K2 means they stay in contention for a runners-up spot in Section G.
Three Pigeons and Mytham Ladies now sit joint second of Section J, after their meeting which ended in a 152-137 win for Three Pigeons who still have to play top team Jackson Van Hire.
The Division One Dixon Shield final game takes place on Friday at Astley Bridge CC at 6.45pm.
Last week's Blackburn final was cancelled due to a wet pitch. The semi-finals of the Healey Karwat and Dorothy Clarke will be played on Hulton Lane on Sunday.
Teams who may be involved in play-offs are asked to ring in results of final matches to the results secretary, as all games will be played on Sunday, September 5.
All Monday matches next week are moved to Thursday because of the Bank Holiday.
