WOULD-BE pop stars are perfecting their performance techniques in readiness for Bolton Festival's Pop Stars Showcase on Sunday.
APA Experience in conjunction with the Bolton Evening News is backing Bolton's version of television's Pop Idol and Fame Academy at the Albert Halls.
Budding stars aged from 11 to 17 will be performing live in the show.
Tammie Rafferty of APA Stageworks, the performing arts school based at Harper Green High School, said choreographers and vocal coaches have been helping the 32 youngsters.
The performers will be singing pop music from the 1980s and 1990s and there will be a Madonna versus Britney session among many other offerings.
"There's going to be much more than last year," Tammie said.
The show starts at 7 pm and tickets at £4.50/£3.50 concessions are available from 01204 334400.
