A SCHOOL in Kearsley has been praised by education watchdogs.
Inspectors from Ofsted found Kearsley West Primary School to be providing good quality education and it had a good ethos of care.
Pupils were found to have positive attitudes towards learning and, while starting from a well-below average base, attained standards above average in English, maths and physical education.
The inspectors said: "The level of improvement since the previous inspection in 1998 has been good. Since then standards overall and specifically in English and mathematics have risen."
But the inspectors found provision of information and communication technology was unsatisfactory and the school's accommodation problems created teaching difficulties.
