A YOUTH group is getting ready for a trip into cyberspace after scooping community cash to help them make better use of the internet.
Bolton Lads and Girls Club will receive £2,000 from web-company AOL after being chosen from hundreds of applicants nationwide.
The Spa Road club is putting the money towards employing an Internet and Relationships Co-ordinator to help youngsters and their families improve their web skills.
The training will benefit them educationally along with helping them to communicate and shop online.
Jeremy Glover, chief executive of Bolton Lads and Girls Club, said: "This will have a positive impact on the community, opening up the internet to families that do not normally have access to it.
"By using the web as a platform we can improve relationships between family members and discourage anti-social behaviour."
The Bolton club has also won a year-long subscription to AOL to kickstart the project.
