THEY may not be in Athens - but staff at Bolton Middlebrook's Argos store did not let that stop them taking part in their own version of the Olympics.
The company's Argos Olympics took place to help raise more than £60,000 for Whizz-Kidz, a national children's charity.
The Argos company has given each region its own Olympic ring and flag and the challenge is for staff to pass them from one store to the next in the funniest and craziest way possible.
This will take them through all the Argos stores, distribution centres or offices in the Northern region.
The Middlebrook store received the ring and flag from the Bolton Bridge Street store and passed it on to their financial services department by racing it there. Staff also raised money for Whizz Kidz by having a three legged fancy dress race.
At the end of the event the five regional rings and flags will arrive together at Argos' head office in Milton Keynes to form the Argos Olympic ring.
