AMIR Khan is planning to wear his Bolton Wanderers shirt in the ring if he wins an Olympic boxing gold on Sunday.
The shirt, signed by the entire Wanderers squad, was presented to Amir by team boss Sam Allardyce before he left for Athens.
His friends from Bolton who travelled over to Greece to support Amir have taken the shirt with them, and plan to throw it to Amir in the ring at the end of the final.
Amir said: "If I win the gold -- and I believe I can -- I'll be wearing it afterwards in the ring."
Bolton boss Sam Allardyce said: "We want to wish Amir all the best in his quest for the gold medal.
"He has certainly put Bolton on the map with his exploits in the Olympics, and we are confident that he can bring back the gold for the public of Bolton."
