STEVE Howey, who made just three appearances during a short spell with Wanderers last season, is expected to make his debut in Major League Soccer with the New England side, Revolution, on Saturday.
The former England defender, who had unsuccessful trials with a number of English clubs after leaving the Reebok in May, flew to America this week and could be thrown straight in against DC United, although he has warned his new club that jet-lag and a lack of match practice could affect his performance.
"I've been training every day with Bolton," he said, "but I haven't had any games and it's a different fitness. Sometimes, the first game or two you can get through on pure adrenaline. But I don't feel it will be too long before match fitness is there."
