THE Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers will be starting their next 10-week training course on Tuesday, September 14.
It will take place at Astley Bridge Cricket Club, Moss Bank Way, from 7.15pm. For the first time, the course will use computers to give virtual reality explanations of the laws of cricket.
The Bolton Cricket League Umpires Association has obtained sports match funding -- which means that the Government has matched funding provided by local sponsors -- to provide training for those who join their panel for the 2005 season.
