A NATIONAL report has revealed that there is an urgent need to treat high blood pressure in the UK.
The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) has said just a third of all sufferers are aware they have the condition, while a third are not being treated for it and a third "are not being treated properly or controlled to recommended targets".
Blood pressure can be checked through community pharmacists. If high blood pressure is left untreated, it can cause long-term kidney disease, stroke, diabetes and coronary heart disease.
There are around 140 pharmacies across the country offering Vantage Health Watch Blood Pressure Monitoring. For details of your local Vantage pharmacy please call Andrew on 020 7569 3044.
