A GOVERNMENT subsidy to protect the rural post office network may continue for an extra two years, helping to relieve the serious concern of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Forum of Private Business said it was encouraged by reports of a formal announcement of a decision to carry on paying an annual £150 million subsidy to the Royal Mail for an extra two years, taking it up to 2008.
