WITH regard to the bear baiting letter. It never ceases to amaze me just how cruel humans can be to animals.
To remove the poor bears' natural defences ie teeth and claws, and also tie it up while dogs bred for the purpose of tearing it to shreds have all the freedom to do just that, is beyond barbaric.
Just what kind of people find enjoyment watching such savagery?
If this was banned in 1998, why on earth does Pakistan, not just Government, but the people, not insist on the ban being enforced?
I feel sure the majority of the people are sickened by this awful spectacle and, like many a sickening act before now, let it be consigned to history, as something that used to be done but is done no more.
Please leave the bears alone.
