AN EVENT is being held to honour the winners of the first Westhoughton In Bloom competition.
The presentation day, which is open to the public, is being held on Saturday, September 18, at the Carnegie Hall, and will see each of the winners presented with their prize.
Adults and children are being invited to enter a competition being held on the day.
Children are invited to bring a decorated vegetable or a still life painting or picture to include food or plants.
There are five adult categories with a 50p entrance fee. They are: homemade jams and preserves; home bakery; cut flower display; foliage plant; flowering plant. The event runs from 2pm to 4pm.
