ABOUT 100 people took part in a Hindu festival at a Bolton temple this week.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Prentice Howarth, attended the Raksha Bandhan festival with her daughter, and musicians from India added to the atmosphere.
Asian children helped make festival, held on Monday at the VHP temple, Chorley Old Road, Bolton, a huge success.
The temple is holding more activities during Shavran month - when the priest and disciples will decorate the temple. Shavran month will end on September 14.
Jagdish Solanski, organiser of the Raksha Bandhan festival, is now urging youngsters to join a cultural club for people to find out more about the Hindu faith.
The club meets every Monday night at the temple.
