GOURMET chef Mike Harrison could really do with several pairs of extra hands for a charity event he is planning.
The Horwich-based culinary expert will be presenting a local version of "Ready Steady Cook" at the Chefs at Paragon on the Paragon Business Park, Chorley New Road on Friday, November 12.
The event, sponsored by the Tesco store at Middlebrook, is organised by the Horwich New Start charity. The local branch is raising money for a new half million pound scanner for the transplant unit of Withington Hospital, which treats many patients from the Bolton area.
Just like the TV version of the famous cookery programme, Mike will be preparing dishes on the spot from a bag full of ingredients in a limited time. The audience will then vote for their favourite.
The event includes a light supper in the £10 ticket price, and starts at 7.30pm. Ticket details from Janette Chaney on 01204-696132.
