FIREFIGHTERS were called to blaze at a mill in Bury as employees continued to work inside.
The fire started at around 1.30am today at the Premier Mill, Walshaw Road, when ducting from a stenting machine erupted into flames.
Three engines attended the scene at Andrew Textiles Industries Ltd and spent 90 minutes putting out the fire.
Around 12 members of staff were evacuated while firefighters fought the blaze.
The fire is believed to have started due to an accmulation of waste in the ducting.
Firefighters cleared burnt embers that had spread onto the roof of the mill.
