ALTHOUGH I am a governor of Spindle Point Primary School, I must stress that the views expressed below are entirely my own.
I feel very strongly that remarks considered racist by schoolchildren, especially primary schoolchildren, have to be reported to the LEA on a special form detailing the child's name, date, details, and time of the incident.
Many parents may well be disturbed at this procedure.
By all means, let serious racist incidents be dealt with firmly - but within the confines of the school.
