LOCAL snooker star John Spencer had an important date at Woodside Junior School, Bolton in August, 1983.
He handed the keys to a £6,500 Sunshine Coach to one of the pupils, 11-year-old Rosemary Burns. The cash was raised by regulars at his Spenny's Bar in Mealhouse Lane, the Variety Club of Great Britain and parents and friends of the school.
