A MAN was fined £300 for public disorder after he admitted attempting to assault his wife outside a nightclub.
Michael Hayes, aged 37, of George Road, Ramsbottom, also pleaded guilty to possessing ecstasy and amphetamine when he appeared before Bury magistrates.
Ian Walsh, prosecuting, said it was just after midnight when police saw a man arguing with his wife outside the Sol Viva night club in Bury town centre.
Hayes was told to stop being abusive and aggressive but he told the policemen to "mind your own business".
He attempted to assault his wife and was arrested. He was also searched and a small quantity of amphetamine and six ecstasy tablets were found on him.
