A PRACTICAL reminder of the dangers of meningitis will be given to all new students in Bolton.
Wall planners have been sent to students to enable them not only to plan social and academic events but to ensure they know the symptoms of meningitis and the blood poisoning, septicaemia. Meningitis and septicaemia can have devastating conequences which can result in death, brain damage, deafness and amputations. Most students wil have received the Meningitis C vaccine but that does not protect against all forms of the disease. Information about meningitis is available on a 24-hour helpline: 080 8800 3344.
