RESIDENTS have lost their fight to stop the height of a new housing development rising by four feet.
Planning bosses had told builders at the Lostock Junction site to stop work after neighbours saw that the level of the ground being built on had risen.

Jones homes is building 10 homes and six apartments at the site off Rumworth Road. The firm says the increase in height is necessary to overcome a problem with the drains under the site.
