MANY parents are unaware of Internet dangers to children according to new statistics.
According to new research 58 per cent of parents from the North of England do not agree with the statement, "The Internet is dangerous for children."
While 67 per cent of Northern parents admit that they allow their child to use the internet at home always, often or sometimes unattended.
The survey was conducted by electrical retailer, Comet and children's charity NCH.
The research coincides with the launch of a month of intensive internet safety awareness activity by Comet including a nationwide programme of free in-store seminars.
