SWIMMING enthusiasts can "swim the Channel" in their local pool to raise money for people with spinal injuries.
Bolton leisure centres will open their doors are taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim where swimmers can complete the 22-mile distance of the English Channel in their local pool. The challenge must be completed in 12 weeks by Sunday, December 5.
For a real challenge, swimmers can undertake the event alone -- or slit the distance with a group of friends.
Local pools taking part from Monday September 13, are: Ramsbottom Swimming Pool, Total Fitness UK at Bolton, Castle Leisure Centre, Jubilee Pool, Deane Leisure Centre, Horwich Leisure Centre, Sharples Community Leisure Centre, Turton Leisure Centre, Westhoughton Leisure Centre, Harper Green Community Leisure Centre, Kearsley Community Leisure Centre, Hayward Community Leisure Centre, Little Lever Leisure Centre, Withins Leisure Centre and Farnworth Leisure Centre.
