TODDLERS and staff around Bolton will ditch their uniforms to raise money for the national Jeans for Genes appeal.
The national charity is hoping that toddlers will wear their jeans to nursery on Friday, October 1 and donate £1 to charity.
Proceeds help eight national charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity and the Haemophilia Society. One baby in every 33 is born with a genetic disorder. Jeans for Genes has raised more than £18 million to support research projects.
Children are being encouraged to join Mr Potato Head, the official sponsor of the nursery campaign in wearing jeans.
Bank House day Nursery in Radcliffe, and staff at 'KUDOS' Bolton Road, will take part in the Jeans for Genes day.
Jenny Rivers, Bank House Nursery Manager said: "Children at nursery will be jumping into their jeans and 'denimstating' their fashion sense. Our toddlers love wearing their denims and they will be helping to give children affected by genetic disorders real hope for the future."
Staff at 'KUDOS' will be baking and selling cakes throughout the week for the charity.
