FOUR actors new to Farnworth Little Theatre will be in the first play of the new season, the classic thriller Dial M For Murder.
Regulars Lisa Garrish and Mike Jones are joined by new members Jog Maher, Gary Kennedy, Mike Jeffries and Richard Minns. Jog has been doing a part-time college course in drama and appeared in Twelfth Night during the Bolton Festival last year. Gary, a Church of England minister in New Bury, joined Farnworth after his daughter, Roxanna's appearance in the Youth Group productions. He was involved in amateur theatre in Northampton. Mike, who has appeared with Tyldesley Little Theatre and the Phoenix Theatre Company as well as directing, joined FLT when he attended the theatre's AGM in June. Richard, from Yorkshire, teaches and decided to join Farnworth after watching several FLT productions. Dial M Foir Murder is also a first for schoolteacher Cat Jackson. She directs for the first time after appearing in Billy Liar in May. The play runs from September 18 to 25.
