THERE is a great opportunity for musicians to join the players of Lancashire Chamber Orchestra this Sunday at Heskin Village Hall, near Wrightington.
Under their new Principal Conductor Kenneth Woods, the musicians will play some classic string music without the pressure of a concert looming. The repertoire will feature Grieg's Two Elegiac Melodies, Sibelius's Romance in C and Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3.
Musicians of at least grade 8 standard are being invited to take part in the play day which runs from 10.15 am to 4 pm.
Kenneth Woods has an extensive solo repertoire and regularly appears with orchestras across America.
He was hailed by the Washington Post as an "up and coming conductor" and a "true star" of the podium. He is Music Director and Conductor of the Oregon East Symphony and Chorale.
Please contact Georgina Williamson on 07815 141136 or 0161 998 8229 for more information before attending the play day.
