STAFF at Expert Logistics' distribution centre in Radcliffe have announced their chosen charity of the year - Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Along with colleagues from the Big Food Group, Expert has pledged to raise £500,000 for the charity.

Staff at the firm, which distributes and repairs white goods for Iceland and other major UK electrical retailers, will be involved in fundraising events.

They include wearing favourite football strips, scaling Britain's highest summits for the Three Peaks Challenge, running in the Flora London Marathon and trekking along the Great Wall of China.

Keith Earl, Expert managing director, said: "We are very proud of our charity of the year partnerships.

"Together with our colleagues from across the Big Food Group, we have raised almost £1,000,000 for the charities we have supported over the past two years, Childline and Breast Cancer Campaign. We hope people will have lots of fun and some brilliant experiences while working to raise money for such a good cause."
