I WAS extremely upset by the article in Tuesday's paper, in which allegations were made against a member of staff, who, it was alleged, had physically and verbally abused a resident.
Greenlands has been my home for four years, during which time I have never been badly treated, and I can honestly tell you that I have never known any of the other residents to have been dealt with in an unsatisfactory manner.
We enjoy a comfortable life in lovely surroundings, with staff who are very supportive and considerate. There is no difference in the attitude of the staff to the residents, whether we are being visited by relatives or inspected by officials.
Mr and Mrs Collin and all members of staff treat us with genuine kindness and consideration - a fact which the enquiry will most assuredly show.
