DOBBIES A began their BSF O35s Division One title defence with a 2-2 draw at runners-up Elton Vale.
Vale fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point thanks to two Steve Carney penalties.
Newly-promoted Garswood United beat Hare Athletic 4-2, and newcomers Littleborough Vets defeated Dobbies B 3-1. Turton drew 2-2 with Colliers Rest, and the Fox & Stork drew 2-2 with Cross Keys.
Ainsworth Fossils lead Division Two after beating Daten AFC 3-1, and Park Wanderers won 3-2 at promoted Dobbies C. The Fir Tree are setting the pace in Division Three after crushing the Quadrant 6-3.
Horwich Town had a 2-0 home victory over Bolton Wyresdale and Lever Bridge won 4-3 at Bowling Green 4-3.
New teams the Cattle Market and the Plough drew 2-2, while Walkden Wrecks and Breightmet United shared eight goals in an entertaining 4-4 draw.
