SAM Allardyce has taken a swipe at the Denmark FA for not informing him that Henrik Pedersen picked up an Achilles tendon injury playing for his country last weekend.
Pedersen should be fit for Saturday's Reebok clash with Manchester United but the manager said: "We were a little upset that the international medical staff didn't contact us quickly enough."
The protocol is that any player who picks up even the slightest injury while on international duty, immediately reports the problem to the manager or his backroom staff.
Gary Speed, Ricardo Gardner, Stelios, Tal Ben Haim and Jussi Jaaskelainen were all on World Cup duty with their respective countries on Wednesday night and all, apart from Gardner, were due back at the Reebok later today -- the first opportunity Allardyce has had to work with his full squad since the victory over Liverpool 10 days ago.
