I WOULD like to express my opinion on the conversion of the Market Hall.
Bolton will become a ghost town. One of the best features of the Market Hall has been people coming from all over for the little stalls. It is an old and young people's meeting place, being able to walk around and get bits and pieces.
Large, individual shops will be the death of the Hall. We will end up with shut shops and nowhere for people to meet, talk, or have a reasonably priced drink and snacks. What a shame that someone at the council feels the need to go through with this. I have lived in Bolton for nearly 21 years and seen it progress - now all will be lost.
Sit up someone and think of the people of Bolton. What you are planning to do is not what the people want.
