BURY legal practice Woodcock and Sons has boosted its criminal law department following the appointments of Lucy Ashton and Simon Harrison.
Simon, who has been qualified for 12 years and lives in Rossendale, joins Woodcocks from another local firm of solicitors.
He said: "I was attracted to Woodcocks because I was keen to play an active role in the development of the crime team. I see it as an interesting challenge with an excellent practice. Lucy, aged 25, of Rossendale, gained accreditation as a police station representative earlier this year.
"Gaining police station accreditation means that I am allowed to represent clients at local police stations," she said.
Keith Pilkington, who heads the criminal law department, said: "We are delighted to have strengthened our crime team with the arrival of Lucy and Simon. This is a crucial and fast developing department for the firm and we welcome the experience, talent and enthusiasm this couple brings.
"We believe we have one of the most dynamic and respected crime teams in the area and we are determined to maintain and build our reputation."
Woodcock and Sons - one of the oldest family solicitors in the UK - has offices in Bury, Haslingden, Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom and Bacup.
