Westhoughton go to Old Trafford on Sunday in search of a treble.
No Bolton League side has added the Lancashire Knockout title to winning the Hamer Cup and league championship.
But Westhoughton can do that when they face Bootle over 45 overs at Old Trafford. Ironically, the Liverpool Competition side were the side they beat six years ago in their only final win in the competition.
This will be Westhoughton's third final, having appeared in the first, when Timperley beat them by seven wickets in 1972.
Three of the Westhoughton players who appeared in the 1998 final will be in the squad on Sunday -- captain Steve Parker, his brother Rick and Ian Pilkington.
Last week, Pilkington completed 10,000 runs in the Bolton League -- all of them with Westhoughton, a fact not lost on club chairman Brendan Dereham.
"Ian epitomises the loyalty at this club," he said. "He has always been a one-club man and even during spells working away at Gillingham, Coventry and Birmingham, he still travelled home at the weekends to play for us."
The majority of the side are home grown, having come through the junior ranks, while others have shown their loyalty in other ways.
"Ranjit Bhanabai travels up from London to play for us on Sundays, while Paul Atherton is a serving solider, stationed in west Wales, who also makes the long trip up whenever he gets weekend leave, both of them for no money, I hasten to add, " said the chairman.
"They just love playing cricket for Westhoughton, and hopefully that will be rewarded with a win on Sunday."
The game will be played over 45 overs each side and starts at 11am.
