CHURCHGOERS from Bolton made an annual pilgrimage to Norfolk last week to visit an 11th century shrine.
Sixty-nine people travelled to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, a trip organised by St Augustine's Parish Church, Tonge Moor.
The group attended various services in and around Norfolk, and paid visits to the Thursford Heritage Centre and Binham Priory.
They also joined in an evensong chorus at South Creake Parish Church, where worship was led by St Augustine's vicar, Father Tony Davies and priest Father David Schofield.
The event was organised by parishioners Doris Willan and Deborah Peacock.
