I VIEWED with dismay the recent decision by the Government to set out a timetable for a vote on hunting.

The vote is sure to go in favour of a ban.

It is suggested that the result could be deferred for two years.

The fear is that the totally unelected House of Lords could again block a vote against hunting, when all polls indicate the overwhelming majority of the British people are against hunting.

A large section of the Lords have a vested interest in the continuation of hunting.

It is about time the Government stopped pussy-footing around, and implemented a ban now, and stopped pandering to these people.

Oscar Wilde once described the hunting fraternity as the unspeakable after the uneatable.
