THE closing of the transfer window has not stopped Sam Allardyce shopping around for bargains.
He still hopes to sign the Senegal midfielder Khalilou Fadiga, despite the former Inter Milan ace criticising Wanderers for moving the goalposts during negotiations.
Allardyce also continues to keep tabs on former Arsenal and Chelsea star, Emmanuel Petit, who is still in rehab after a knee operation. "He's not fit right now, so he's not in the forefront of the equation," the manager said.
As free agents, Fadiga and Petit are not governed by the transfer window regulations, nor is former Reebok favourite Youri Djorkaeff, who wants to stay in the Premiership and has been linked with a move to Everton.
